We could all use a bit of entertainment in our lives right now! The ongoing circumstances plaguing our nation has impacted everyone, including many talented musicians. As venues across the world closed due to the stay-at-home mandate, many performers have been unable to book performances. Leaving artists with no other means to generate some form of income.

To show support to these creative geniuses and to continue encouraging social distancing, Annapolis Town Center recently announced their partnership with Symmetry Creative Agency to bring the community Tunes From The Town.

Beginning Wednesday, April 15 and extending through May 2, this virtual concert series will feature 18 local acts performing nightly! Musicians will be given the chance to live stream their performance not only through their own Facebook channel, but the Annapolis Town Center and Visit Annapolis’ Facebook pages as well. Followers can enjoy a fun, free set from the comfort of their own couch. Artists will receive 100% of the proceeds from tips received during the performances. We encourage you to chip in if you are able!

In addition to providing the community with something fun to look forward to each night, the Town Center and Symmetry Agency is also partnering with Annapolis Musicians Fund for Musicians (AMFM), a non-profit organization offering temporary financial relief to professional musicians in the Annapolis area. Together, they are encouraging the community to help our musically gifted friends by matching dollar for dollar every donation made by the end of April, up to a total of $5,000. With the support of the community this campaign can help raise $10,000.
